Fiona is a 9-year-old yellow Lab and truly one of the most special ladies we’ve ever had in our care. She came to us a year ago in heartbreaking condition—starving, abandoned, and trying her best to care for her 11 puppies, yes…11 puppies! Thanks to her incredible strength and gentle spirit, all of her babies have long since found loving homes… She has been patiently waiting for her family to find her and take her home.

Fiona is a sweet, affectionate girl who adores companionship. She does great with friendly dogs her own size and would LOVE to have a confident doggie buddy to help her feel secure. Because of her past and prey drive, she’s not suited for cats, small pets, or small dogs. This brave mama also has separation anxiety after everything she’s endured. She’s not a dog who’s happy being left alone—she truly blossoms in a home where people are around most of the time and where she can feel safe, supported, and loved. She needs a home where someone is home often and can give her the reassurance, stability, and routine she deserves.

24/7 Companion: Fiona has severe separation anxiety and needs someone home most of the time. She thrives on gentle reassurance and physical presence.
