Swing Into Action At Puttin’ Fore Paws
Grab your clubs (and your love for furry friends) and join us on September 27 for a paw-some day on the greens, all to benefit the lovable dogs and cats at The Animal League. Whether you’re swinging for fun, the longest drive, or just there for the adorable adoptables and good food, there’s something for everyone!
Registration/check-in starts at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. After your round, dig into a delicious lunch (included with registration), and enjoy contests like Longest Drive & Closest-to-the-Pin, 50/50 raffle, mulligans, and special appearances by some furry VIPs.
There are also sponsorship opportunities that will have tails wagging!

Fostering can be such a rewarding experience! It ranges from offering weekend relief for longer-term foster pets to caring for a furry friend for a couple of weeks while we wait for space at the shelter. You might even find yourself offering a loving home for an expectant momma and her adorable litter until they are weaned, or caring for pets needing a little extra time to find their forever homes. Our wonderful foster coordinators are here to help match you with the perfect fosters for you and your family. Thank you for considering being part of this caring community!
A big Thank You to Pet Food Experts
In an ongoing partnership, Pet Food Experts generously donated six full pallets of dry dog food! This incredible contribution serves as a wonderful blessing for many dogs in need, ensuring they receive the nourishment they require. We are truly grateful for this support. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to our dedicated volunteers, who worked hard to transport the food from the depot and unload it at our shelter. Thank you all!
Despite this generous donation, some of our food shelves remain empty, as wish-list donations have been slower this summer. If you are able to help, we are particularly in need of:
- Pedigree Puppy Chicken flavor food – CANNED AND DRY
- Pedigree Small bites – DRY
- Pedigree Adult food – CANNED AND DRY
- Fancy Feast canned kitten pate

Happy Tails
Recently, we’ve witnessed a heartwarming wave of puppies and kittens finding their forever homes. Among the joyous moments, we celebrated the double adoptions of sisters Miss Lillie and Miss Moechie, and Penguin and Riddler. While Miss Lillie and Miss Moechie may be a bit camera-shy, we are confident that they, and all our furry friends, will be cherished beyond measure in their new homes.
Your ongoing dedication to adopting pets in need, volunteering your time and energy, donating gifts and money so generously, supporting our events, and sharing our message far and wide, plays an invaluable role in our mission. Each and every effort, no matter how small, contributes to the meaningful difference we are making in the lives of these deserving animals, ensuring they receive the love and care they so desperately require.
