Meet Honey, a 7-year-old Boxer who is every bit as sweet as her name!
Honey came to us heartworm positive and with a heart condition that is common in her breed. She will need daily medication for her heart condition for the rest of her life, along with regular follow-up appointments with her cardiologist.
Despite her medical needs, Honey is a wonderfully sweet lady. She is calm, quiet, and happiest when she is simply spending time with her people. She gets along well with other friendly, calm dogs and enjoys taking short walks and soaking up the fresh air. Honey is mostly potty trained, but like any dog entering a new home, she will need some patience and understanding while she adjusts to her new surroundings.
We are looking for a very special forever home for Honey; one that will make sure her heart condition is properly cared for and monitored so she can continue to thrive. Because of her condition, her cardiologist recommends a quieter home without a lot of hustle and bustle and without small children. It’s not because Honey doesn’t do well with children; rather, young children tend to be higher energy than what is recommended for Honey.
Honey has so much love to give and deserves a peaceful home where she can enjoy the rest of her life surrounded by people who will cherish her. Could you be the forever family this sweet girl has been waiting for?
