A Busy Events Season
This Events Season has been absolutely bustling with excitement, providing us with unforgettable moments and joy. Back in September, our 10th annual Puttin’ Fore Paws was a blast, filled with laughter and enjoyment which even a brief rain shower couldn’t dampen. Howl-O-Ween and Wag-O-Ween showcased your incredible creativity once again, and the costume fun continued with our delightful Santa Photos, along with the festive Christmas Parades held in Clermont and Leesburg.

Birthdays for Two Special Pups
November marked “Adopt a Senior Pet” month, but it was also birthday month for both Fiona and Kermie. Over a year ago, Fiona arrived at our shelter in desperate need of care; abandoned, malnourished, and struggling to look after her 11 puppies. Kermie, now celebrating his third birthday, has been part of our family since he was just six months old! Without the support of humane shelters like The Animal League, many animals like Fiona and Kermie would face uncertain futures, often ending up on euthanasia lists. We are dedicated to giving these deserving pets the chance to thrive. If you can provide a loving, stable home, Fiona and Kermie will undoubtedly fill your life with boundless affection.

Subaru Loves Pets
We continue to be grateful for our partnership with Villages Subaru. Providing a space for us to showcase pets available for adoption plays a significant role in connecting our dogs with loving families and increases their chances of quickly finding new homes. Back in October they also generously awarded us a grant to help support our adorable adoptables and equipped us home with lots of toys, donations, and pet parent kits to ensure our pups have a great start in their forever homes. Thanks also goes to Subaru for providing a tow for our Christmas Parades trailer.

Happy Tails of the Year
We’re rounding off the news this year by looking back on three adoptions that had a special place in our hearts.
Trooper was a stray needing emergency surgery after being hit by a car. An army of volunteers rallied to save him and now he has his own, beautiful family and best buddy, Duncan.

Duke, whom we saved from a euthansia list and provided life-saving eye removal surgery, was a staff-favorite, and is now having the time of his life with his new, loving family and wrinkly friend.

It was heartwarming to see two litter mates reunited. The parents of TAL Alumni, Auburn, spotted Ginger on our Facebook page and, knowing they were sisters, immediately opened their hearts and welcomed her in. What a double blessing!

We sincerely thank all our adopters, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and supporters. Every contribution is invaluable, whether it’s a heartfelt word or a generous act of kindness. Your support profoundly impacts the lives of the animals in our care and enables us to further our mission. Thank you for joining us in building a brighter future for pets in need.
