Increasing Compassion and Knowledge Through Education

The Animal League’s Humane Education Department provides programs focused on increasing animal compassion and knowledge of pet responsibility, and educating people on the role and services we provide to the community.

Every year, we visit children and adults at schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, daycares, libraries, civic clubs, and residential facilities for elderly or disabled throughout our community. Therapy dogs that were once shelter animals play important roles throughout the program.

Children adore meeting our animals, learning about animal safety, and listening to the ways the Animal League helps the community. Contact us to schedule a Humane Education program visit your school, community club, or business.
