Karl the Courthouse Therapy Dog Helps Children Testify

One word to describe Karl? Awesome!

Karl is a member of The Animal League’s Companions for Courage therapy dog program. Karl is a 5 year old deaf boxer who provides companionship and courage to children who testify in court. He is often below the child’s feet providing comfort as they testify to horrific  experiences.

Karl has quite the following and his work is gaining more popularity in Central Florida for his amazing work helping children testify in courtrooms. He was recently featured in an article in People Magazine online and in several local stories including News 13.

In addition to providing courtroom comfort, our Karl is also a part of The Animal League’s Humane Education program. Karl is in front of hundreds of kids each month helping his handler, Joanne, teach kids about animal safety, humane treatment of animals, and more!
